DEM WR0100 Gas Surge limiting regulators are important in welding. They help control the flow of shielding gas to improve quality and save gas.

How it works?
Traditional regulators: High pressure from the cylinder goes to the flowmeter. When the torch is off, the hose fills with high pressure. When you start, the extra gas blasts out.
Surge limiting regulators: These systems often use internal restriction orifices or “choked flow” designs that deliver a controlled burst of extra gas to purge the air, then automatically reduce to the preset flow rate, preventing the large, wasteful surge.
